Thursday 22nd May - walk *** – Around Felixstowe – cloudy and
chilly.
With the wind in the north it was a cloudy and chilly day here on the coast
at Felixstowe so had no plans for the day, probably pack a picnic and head
out somewhere? Then half way through my exercises I got a message from Jay
and Maeva saying they were at the library and could they drop in:) Well
certainly brightened a dull day and Maeva is certainly a ray of sunshine, a
complete livewire! It was great to see them after their time on holiday in
Devon and Cornwall and we had a full set when Dan turned up for lunch too.
I made lunch with Maeva enjoying her cheese sandwich and had fun with book
and puzzles:) With Maeva getting tired Dad took them home leaving Mag and I
free to go for an afternoon walk, certainly fleece time again. We started
off going to the new Sainsbury former the Co-op before heading down the the
seafront and through the Spa Gardens and I was pleased to get a pic of the
rose garden, now a mass of lovely blue cat mint which drives our cats wild
as we took then a couple of bits! Then home for a cuppa and cake with the
hot water bottle making a return!
Then after tea with the sun making an appearance I drove down to Felixstowe
to see a lovely sunset over the River Deben with the tide very high:)
